Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item can be improved through upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment increases the stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an indicator of the level of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item varies with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be achieved in a variety of ways, including by using upgrade components or by increasing an item's rarity or mark level.
