Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment results in a linear increase in any stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain a level gauge for each of the item upgrader kit's upgraded components. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item upgrader mod level.

Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the power of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished by a number of means that include using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. Additionally there are many items that can be reforged, which can increase their stats.

There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available in all over the world and are rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. Upgrade components are the primary method to upgrade equipment. These are the items that can slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots to upgrade, and many require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses while others provide general bonuses.

There are several types of upgrade components available in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. To upgrade an item, click it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The window will show an overview on the right side of the screen showing the expected stats after the upgrade, along with any materials or components required. If you do not have enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will say Blocked.

The amount of upgrade components needed for a particular item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of an upgrade increases depending on the upgrade level and rarity, however it can be reduced using various ways, such as purchasing upgrades at a merchant or trading them to other players.

Most weapons can be upgraded with the use of a prefix upgrade like an insignia, or a rune, and a lot of them are upgraded by an upgrade suffix. Glyphs

The majority of upgrade components inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can take out the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved using the glyph shards.

If you take an item off after adding a glyph, the shards of the glyph will vanish. You can also add an inscription on your equipment to increase its value. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and be distributed slowly to the wearer rather than all at one time. Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to alter the affixes of weapons and other equipment. This will change the layout of the item's window and let up to six items be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item upgrading adds a small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, therefore higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls will roll a % chance of a weapon's traits. Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's better to let people pay for it using money or food items which allows players to make adjustments to their builds without having to spend too much time. However, paid rerolls are not something the developers want to implement at this point in the game's development. They plan to add the ability for players to alter their race in the near future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to upgrade an item. The first way to level up an item upgrade is by increasing the amount of upgrade. This boosts the value of upgrading the stat. The second is to increase the effect of upgrading which increases the healing or damage of a specific stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. After this, the new item will keep its iLevel, but will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

It is important to keep in mind that upgrades are random. Most of the time the chance of a better roll will come from the glyphs, but there are also opportunities for greater or special rolls.
