How to Replace an audi keyfob G28 Engine Speed Sensor

The sensor serves as a reference point to connect with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu must be aware of when the crankshaft has reached TDC, and the position of the camshaft, so that it can activate the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails the ECU will show a P00160 code which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are out of sync, possibly indicating the chain is stretched or a jump link on the upper chain of timing. The code won't show without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).
It is a little tricky to test as there are several connector pins, and each one has different functions. The most effective method to test it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read about 1000 ohms when the sensor is at full operation. If you are having problems with this part, check for evidence of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a massive reduction in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or, my injectors weren't firing. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning, 3 were soaked with gasoline and the fourth was unclean. I placed a tissue over each injector hole and when I turn the engine on without sparks, the ones that have gazoline pop right out. The 4th one remains shut. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I get 0ohm. So i assume the problem is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset PID but without success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it is running fine with the G28 connected. However the intermittent misfire issue still occurs at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for the coolant (G62) shows the wrong temp value -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar but the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not sure what to do, as i think i've pretty much eliminated everything else. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. Please let me know if you have any ideas! TIA!

The fuel pump in the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter functions similarly to the G4 sender and works on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles.
