However, levers don't create energy. They just multiply the force you exert by converting a small amount of effort across a large distance into a greater amount of force applied over a shorter distance. This allows you to do more work in less time, and it is why levers are often employed to lift heavy objects or moving large quantities of cargo. This handle is designed to work with uPVC multipoint locks that employ a split spindle mechanism. This kind of operation requires that the lever handle and the external pad handle be attached to the same lock case. This could be a straightforward change from the current uPVC handles but it may also require a change to the lock case or a new set of handle furniture to allow for this additional functionality.
