All-terrain stroller that is light and durable. It also offers excellent maneuverability. The compact fold that can be folded with just one hand makes it easy to carry. It also stands on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines into a nearly flat position, and there is a large storage bin and canopy. The suitability for newborns is yes, with a separate carrycot (not suitable for sleep over).

Good suspension and air-filled tyres can handle rough terrain. You can also use it to jog. However, you must wait until your baby is at minimum 6 or 9 months old.

Ickle Bubba Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want a lightweight buggy with enhanced features. It comes as a travel system, which includes a lie-flat carrycot for infants, a movable forward and rear facing pushchair seat as well as a choice of group 0+ car seat, meaning you can get everything you need in one package.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to see why it's received such high marks from customers. It is incredibly lightweight with the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg. It is extremely easy to put together. In fact I was able complete the entire setup and running in just five minutes, which is pretty impressive considering it included attaching the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a nice wide seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very simple to use. The basket has plenty of space, and I am impressed that the handle bar has a pocket to keep your phone and keys safe.

The only slight downside is the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for taller parents. But, it's covered with a luxurious leather-like material that is soft and comfy and wipes down easily, making it still easy to push with bags and children on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who want to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on forest and field trails. The front wheel can be locked and can be swiveled to allow for greater flexibility. It also has a padded 5-point safety harness and front bar to ensure your child is secure on all journeys while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving while you rest. The comfortable seat is easy to adjust down to a lying position, and the canopy opens to reveal netting for optimum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30 cm to accommodate mum or dad's heights.

Whether you're going for short jogs or a longer hike The Runner is ready to join you on your journeys with a fully-flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise an unhurried ride. The front three wheel buggies can be locked to provide more stability on narrow streets or overcrowded sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold up to fit into car boot spaces or storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally the locking system (requiring two buttons on either on either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than the ones of competitors and therefore it may not be suitable for parents with shorter arms but overall, it's an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller that is worth a look for families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me walking

The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which is known for its simple and well-designed essentials for parents. It's their newest and most expensive addition to the bargain lightweight stroller line. Similar to the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat-compatible, so you can use from birth.

The new Pace comes with some amazing design features such as rose-gold hues on the hood, chassis and stroller trims that truly make it stand out. The car seat and stroller fabrics are stylish in tan, grey, and cream. You can also add the handle in leather and the bumper bar to match.

The stroller seat is used from birth to 22kg. It can easily be converted into a 2-in-1 reversible position, which is either parent-facing or facing the world. The stroller seat has multi lie back positions, softly padded leg rests and an extended sun canopy that has concealed zip sections, a viewing transparent flaps, and an adjustable sun visor.

When folded, the Pace measures 56 32 x 43 cm which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other carriers. Two buttons on either side are easy to utilize and press to lock it in the right position.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis has a shorter wheel distance, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two kids - one a toddler and another eight-week old - across rough terrain along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels - 22cm or 30cm in diameter - can handle various terrains. The wheels have a flap that can be closed or opened to let air in when required. It's slightly larger than some pushchairs but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you're pushing it over bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to wipe down. It's also quieter than other pushchairs and I felt comfortable in the city streets. One of the advantages is that it incorporates accessory points, which means you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block out wind and rain, although it isn't particularly waterproof. It's a single stroller, but you can attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra leg room. It took around 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and a similar amount of time to transform it into the seat.
